Current Position:

This is my 16th year of employment for Eufaula Public Schools...my first official year as the school counselor and currently my fifth year as the District Test Coordinator.  I began working here in 2001 after I finished my first Master's degree and have also taught math and/or coached off and on during that time frame.

Family Information:

I LOVE my family!  I am married to my best friend and husband of 16 years, Preston James.  We have four children whom God has entrusted us to lead and has blessed us to raise.  They are all actively involved in this school system, and they make us smile and laugh daily.  We love that we get to just do life with them every single day, even when it's busy and hectic.

Personal Information:

We are very active in our church and LOVE our Marriage/Parenting Sunday School class that my husband has the privilege to lead.  It's both challenging and rewarding at the same time.  Our oldest is 13, and we're still learning and trying to make good parenting decisions.  We love doing life with our friends at church, and we are super crazy about both of our families...very close knit and just enjoy life together.

I grew up with a passion for sports...basketball and softball, mainly.  I devoted much of my life and spare time to training for those.  I had the awesome opportunity to play college basketball and did so for four years.  It was a great experience...lots of memories...but, it paid for my school, and that was a HUGE plus!  It was my passion, my job, so to speak in college, and it paid all the way through my first Master's.  I am forever grateful.  Now, I am extremely passionate about working out...running, various workout videos, lifting weights, etc.  I think it's a way for me to release what I had trained my body to do all those years when my sports days were over.  I'm thankful that I'm still able to exercise and compete against myself...trying to get stronger everyday.

I also get to use some of that training as I've devoted a lot of time to coaching our kids as they've grown through the years.  It's a lot of work, takes a lot of my time, but they're my kids, and I'm devoted to helping them along the way.  :-)

I also have a strong passion for saving money.  It's FUN to me!  I use coupons for EVERYTHING, and I just try to let my math mind figure out new ways to save.  We teach our children as we go in hopes that they'll make smart financial choices some day.
